Coldplay Europe Tour 2027

As of 5 October 2026, Coldplay have not announced any concerts in Europe for 2027. There is no tour name, no city and no date, and none of the major ticket outlets in the European countries we follow list a Coldplay show for 2027. Any website selling tickets for a "Coldplay Europe Tour 2027" is selling something that does not exist yet.

That is not unusual for the band. Coldplay normally take a long break between world tours, and they have only just finished the longest one of their career: the Music of the Spheres World Tour, which began in Costa Rica in March 2022, played more than 40 countries and ended in 2025. It became the most-attended tour of all time and the first by a band to gross more than $1 billion.

This page explains what has and has not been announced, and looks back at more than 25 years of Coldplay concerts in mainland Europe and Ireland, from a festival field in Hasselt in August 2000 to the four nights at Croke Park in September 2024. Leave your email to be told the moment European dates are officially confirmed.

Coldplay Europe Tour 2027: what is announced so far

Nothing official has been published about Coldplay's next tour. The band's tenth album, Moon Music, came out in 2024, while the Music of the Spheres tour was still running, and its songs were added to the stadium shows in 2024 and 2025. No eleventh album, new single campaign or new tour has been announced since.

When Coldplay do tour Europe, the pattern of the last ten years is clear: long stadium stands of three to six nights in a few big cities, announced many months in advance, with sales in each country on a set morning. In 2022 that meant three nights in Frankfurt, three in Berlin, four at the Stade de France and four at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels; in 2023, four nights each in Coimbra, Barcelona, Milan and Amsterdam.

Until an announcement is made, treat any presale code, ticket listing or "leaked" date list for 2027 with suspicion. Use the alert button below to be notified as soon as the band confirms European dates.

Before the Coldplay Europe Tour 2027: European concert history

Coldplay's first visits to mainland Europe came in 2000, the year of Parachutes and "Yellow". That summer they played festivals such as the Eurockéennes in Belfort, Paredes de Coura in Portugal, Lowlands at Biddinghuizen and Pukkelpop at Hasselt on 26 August, and in the autumn a club tour that took in the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, The Max in Amsterdam, the Alcatraz in Milan, La Cigale in Paris, Barcelona, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Hamburg and the Columbiahalle in Berlin. In August 2001 they appeared at Slane Castle.

A Rush of Blood to the Head moved them into arenas. Between November 2002 and April 2003 they played the Point in Dublin, Forest National in Brussels, Rotterdam Ahoy, the Zénith in Paris, Cologne, Munich, Montpellier, Milan, Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Zurich, the Pavilhão Atlântico in Lisbon and the Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid. The X&Y tour in 2005 added open-air shows in Hamburg, Cologne, Berlin, Marlay Park in Dublin and the GelreDome in Arnhem, then an arena run from Antwerp to Paris-Bercy.

With Viva la Vida in 2008 and 2009, Coldplay became a stadium band in Europe. After arena nights in Strasbourg, Lyon, Barcelona, Madrid, two at Bercy, Rotterdam and Antwerp, the 2009 summer took them to the Reitstadion in Munich, Udine, the Estadi Olímpic in Barcelona, the Parc des Princes in Paris, two nights at the Goffertpark in Nijmegen and Phoenix Park in Dublin. The Mylo Xyloto tour of 2011 and 2012 continued with stadiums in Madrid, Nice, Turin, Saint-Denis, Cologne, The Hague, Munich, Leipzig and Hanover.

The A Head Full of Dreams tour in 2016 and 2017 played some of the largest crowds of the band's career: two nights in Barcelona, Gelsenkirchen, two at the Amsterdam ArenA, Berlin's Olympiastadion, then in 2017 the Olympiastadion in Munich, Lyon, Leipzig, Hanover, two nights at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, two in Frankfurt, two at San Siro, Croke Park on 8 July and three nights at the Stade de France (15, 16 and 18 July 2017).

Music of the Spheres was bigger still. In Europe it played three nights in Frankfurt, three at Berlin's Olympiastadion, four at the Stade de France (16 to 20 July 2022) and four at the King Baudouin Stadium in 2022; four nights in Barcelona, two in Naples, four at San Siro and four at the Johan Cruijff ArenA in 2023; and in 2024 three nights at Groupama Stadium near Lyon, four at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, three in Düsseldorf, three at Munich's Olympiastadion and four at Croke Park in Dublin, ending on 2 September 2024.

The table below lists 171 documented European concerts by Coldplay between 2000 and 2024, with the most shows in Dublin (12), Barcelona (10), Amsterdam (9), Munich (8), Saint-Denis (8), Paris (8). It is not exhaustive: it only includes documented shows.

Before the Coldplay Europe Tour 2027: past European tours at a glance

Coldplay Europe Tour 2027 and European festivals

Coldplay have played relatively few European festivals since becoming a stadium act. Their early years included Pukkelpop, Lowlands, the Eurockéennes and Paredes de Coura in 2000, and Rock Werchter in 2002, 2003 and 2009. In 2011, before Mylo Xyloto came out, they did a festival summer that included Rock im Park, Rock am Ring, Pinkpop, Werchter, Main Square in Arras and Bilbao BBK Live.

They hold the record for Glastonbury headline slots, with four by 2016 and a fifth in 2024, but in mainland Europe their recent shows have been their own stadium concerts rather than festivals.

Coldplay Europe Tour 2027: career and records

Coldplay formed in London in 1997: Chris Martin (vocals, piano), Jonny Buckland (guitar), Guy Berryman (bass) and Will Champion (drums), with manager Phil Harvey credited as a member. After the EP Safety (1998), they signed with Parlophone in 1999. Their debut album, Parachutes (2000), with "Yellow", won the Brit Award for British Album of the Year and a Grammy.

A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002) repeated those awards, and X&Y (2005) and Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008) topped the charts in more than 30 countries. "Viva la Vida" was the first song by a British act to reach number one in the US and the UK at the same time in the 21st century.

Mylo Xyloto (2011), Ghost Stories (2014), A Head Full of Dreams (2015), Everyday Life (2019), Music of the Spheres (2021) and Moon Music (2024) explored electronica, R&B, ambient, disco and gospel. "My Universe", with BTS, was the first song by a British group to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Coldplay are the most awarded group in Brit Awards history, with nine wins from 32 nominations. They headlined the Super Bowl 50 halftime show in 2016, and their two most recent tours, A Head Full of Dreams and Music of the Spheres, both rank among the highest-grossing tours ever.

Coldplay Europe Tour 2027: what is (and is not) announced

Officially, nothing: no tour, no album and no European date for 2027. The band's own channels and the main ticket outlets in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Ireland show no Coldplay concert for 2027 at the time of writing.

If a European tour is announced, it will almost certainly come with a long lead time: the Music of the Spheres tour was announced in October 2021 for dates starting in 2022, and its European stadium nights went on sale months ahead. This page will be updated with dates and venues as soon as they are official.

Coldplay Europe Tour 2027: the cities that always get Coldplay

Looking at the last four tours, a few places stand out. Paris (Stade de France) has had stadium shows in 2012, 2017 and 2022, with seven nights over the last two tours. Barcelona has hosted the band in 2009, 2016 and four times in 2023. Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Milan, Amsterdam, Brussels and Dublin's Croke Park have each seen multi-night stands.

Italy has had some of the biggest runs, including four nights at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome in July 2024. Portugal had four nights at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra in May 2023.

Coldplay Europe Tour 2027: how the band sells tickets in Europe

On recent tours, Coldplay have sold tickets through one official outlet per country, often with a presale for fans registered on the band's website before the general sale. They also introduced lower-priced "Infinity tickets" released close to the shows, sold in pairs at a fixed low price.

None of this applies yet to 2027, because no tour has been announced. The safest move is to wait for the official announcement and avoid paying anyone for a code or a place on a list.

Coldplay Europe Tour 2027: what to expect live

A Coldplay stadium show runs to around 25 songs and lasts more than two hours. The Music of the Spheres production used LED wristbands handed to every fan, confetti, fireworks, a B-stage in the middle of the crowd and kinetic dance floors and bikes that helped to power parts of the show.

Recent European set lists were built around "Higher Power", "Adventure of a Lifetime", "Paradise", "The Scientist", "Viva la Vida", "Something Just Like This", "Sky Full of Stars", "Yellow", "Fix You" and songs from Moon Music such as "feelslikeimfallinginlove". What a future tour would look like has not been announced.

Coldplay Europe Tour 2027 tickets and presales

There are no tickets for a Coldplay Europe tour in 2027, because no tour has been announced. Any site offering 2027 tickets now is selling speculative listings at best.

When a tour is announced, tickets will go on sale country by country through the official outlets named by the band. There is no public Coldplay presale code: presale access is given through official registration. Codes offered on social media are not genuine.

Sign up for an alert on this page and we will email you as soon as European dates, venues and on-sale times are officially confirmed.
