Fontaines D.C. Europe Tour 2027

Fontaines D.C. have two European runs on the calendar. First comes the D.C. EU & UK Tour, an arena tour for their fifth album, Dopamine Chamber (out 16 October 2026), which opens at the MEO Arena in Lisbon on 21 October 2026 and crosses the continent to the Accor Arena in Paris on 13 November, before the British arenas. Then, in summer 2027, the band are on the line-up of Primavera Sound Barcelona (Parc del Fòrum, 2–6 June 2027; the festival has not yet said which day) and play open-air shows at Rock in Roma on 18 June and the Ippodromo SNAI San Siro in Milan on 19 June, two homecoming nights at Slane Castle on 26 and 27 June, and the Barclays Arena in Hamburg on 11 August 2027.

Between Slane and Hamburg they headline a run of British stadiums and parks, from Blackweir Fields in Cardiff on 29 June to the London Stadium on 9 July 2027. Together, the two tours are by far the biggest the Dublin band have played, a long way from the pubs of Listowel and the Button Factory where their story began.

On this page: every confirmed date, the venues, the tour night by night and the full record of Fontaines D.C.'s concerts in Ireland and continental Europe since 2017, including their festival appearances from Primavera Sound to Rock Werchter.

Fontaines D.C. Europe Tour 2027: confirmed dates

The 2026 arena tour, supported by Chalk, covers fourteen continental cities in just over three weeks: Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona (Sant Jordi Club), Bologna, Belgrade, Prague, Łódź, Berlin (Max-Schmeling-Halle), Stockholm (Hovet), Oslo, Copenhagen (Royal Arena), Amsterdam (Ziggo Dome), Antwerp (AFAS Dome) and Paris (Accor Arena). Tickets went on sale in early September 2026, and on-sale dates varied by country.

The 2027 dates are a separate set of announcements. The first is a festival slot: Fontaines D.C. are among the headliners of Primavera Sound Barcelona 2027 at the Parc del Fòrum (2–6 June), announced on 5 October 2026 without a day-by-day split. Slane Castle, in County Meath, was announced on 31 August 2026, the day after the band closed Electric Picnic; it is the largest Irish concert of their career so far. Hayley Williams appears on the bill on 26 June. The Italian shows on 18 and 19 June open the summer, and the Hamburg arena date on 11 August 2027 comes after the British stadium run.

Dopamine Chamber is produced again by James Ford, who worked on Romance. Its lead single 'Marianne' came out on 17 August 2026 and the second, 'Tongue', on 30 September 2026. 'Six Shot Morning', played live before the album announcement, gave fans a first taste of the new material.

No Irish date other than Slane has been announced, and no Dublin arena date is part of the 2026 tour. Further 2027 European dates may still be added; this page will be updated if they are.

Before the Fontaines D.C. Europe Tour 2027: European concert history

Before Ireland knew them well, Fontaines D.C. were playing small Spanish rooms. The setlist archive shows a run in June and July 2017 at the Asociación Eresmas in Valladolid, Rock Beer The New in Santander, the Sala Milwaukee in El Puerto de Santa María and the Sala Alive in Madrid, and another Madrid date at Caracol in January 2018. Guitarist Carlos O'Connell grew up in Madrid, which helps explain the early link with Spain.

At home, 2018 was a year of pubs and clubs: Mike the Pies in Listowel, the Button Factory in Dublin, Garbo's in Castlebar, Connolly's of Leap, the Tivoli Theatre in Dublin and the Roisin Dubh in Galway. They also played L'Orangerie in Brussels, Primavera Sound in Barcelona and La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris, and in September 2018 the Body & Soul stage at Electric Picnic.

The Dogrel year, 2019, took them across the continent in clubs and festivals: Vera in Groningen, the Schokoladen in Berlin, the Molotow in Hamburg, Sonic in Lyon, the 4AD in Diksmuide, Rotown in Rotterdam and the Point Éphémère in Paris in spring; then, in November, the Sala Cool in Madrid, La [2] de Apolo in Barcelona, the Kantine in Cologne, the Grote Zaal in Amsterdam, L'Orangerie and Le Bataclan in Paris on 10 November 2019. They ended the year with two nights at Vicar Street in Dublin.

After the pandemic, which reduced 2020 to broadcast sessions such as the Other Voices set at Kilmainham Gaol, the Skinty Fia tour of 2022 filled bigger rooms: La Riviera in Madrid, Razzmatazz in Barcelona, the Alcatraz in Milan, L'Olympia and Le Bataclan in Paris, the Live Music Hall in Cologne, the Werk in Munich, the Astra in Berlin and the Gruenspan in Hamburg. In Dublin they played two nights at the Iveagh Gardens in July and three at Vicar Street in December 2022.

The Romance tour of November 2024 was their first proper European arena run: the Sagres Campo Pequeno in Lisbon, the WiZink Center in Madrid on 2 November, the Alcatraz in Milan, the Zenith in Munich, the Uber Eats Music Hall in Berlin, the Alsterdorfer Sporthalle in Hamburg, the E-Werk in Cologne, Le Zénith in Paris on 13 November, Forest National in Brussels and two nights at AFAS Live in Amsterdam, before two at the 3Arena in Dublin on 6 and 7 December 2024.

Summer 2025 brought open-air headline shows at the Roman theatres of Lyon (Fourvière) and Arles, the Capannelle racecourse in Rome on 18 June, the Carroponte near Milan on 19 June, the Zitadelle Spandau in Berlin and the Killesberg in Stuttgart. In August 2026 they played Cádiz twice, Alicante and the Ciudadela in Pamplona, part of the Spanish headline shows announced in May 2026.

The table below lists 156 documented European concerts by Fontaines D.C. between 2017 and 2026, with the most shows in Dublin (17), Paris (8), Berlin (6), Amsterdam (6), Barcelona (5), Madrid (5). It is not exhaustive: it only includes documented shows.

Before the Fontaines D.C. Europe Tour 2027: past European tours at a glance

Fontaines D.C. Europe Tour 2027 and European festivals

Fontaines D.C. are a fixture of the European festival season. The setlist archive shows them at Primavera Sound in Barcelona in 2018, 2022 and 2025, Electric Picnic at Stradbally in 2018, 2022 and 2026, Dour and Lowlands in 2019, Benicàssim in 2019, Eurockéennes at Belfort in 2019, La Route du Rock at Saint-Père in 2019, 2022 and 2026, Rock Werchter in 2022 and 2025, Hurricane and Southside in 2022 and 2024, Best Kept Secret in 2022, NOS Alive in 2022, Rock en Seine at Saint-Cloud in 2022 and 2025, Pukkelpop and Paredes de Coura in 2024 and Lowlands again in 2025. They return to Primavera Sound Barcelona in 2027 as one of the headliners (Parc del Fòrum, 2–6 June; day to be confirmed).

In Ireland they played All Together Now at Curraghmore House in 2019 and 2025, and headlined the final day of Electric Picnic on 30 August 2026, two days after headlining Reading. The 2027 Slane concerts and the Rock in Roma date are headline shows rather than festival slots; Primavera Sound Barcelona is the festival exception on the 2027 calendar so far.

Fontaines D.C. Europe Tour 2027: career and records

Fontaines D.C. formed in Dublin in 2014 when Grian Chatten, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan III, Tom Coll and Carlos O'Connell met at the BIMM music college in the Liberties. They bonded over poetry, publishing two chapbooks, and took their name from Johnny Fontane in The Godfather, adding 'D.C.', for Dublin City, when they found an American band with the same name.

After self-released singles such as 'Liberty Belle', they signed to Partisan Records in 2018. Dogrel, released on 12 April 2019, was named album of the year by BBC Radio 6 Music presenters and nominated for the Mercury Prize. A Hero's Death (July 2020) reached No. 2 in the UK and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album.

Skinty Fia (April 2022), with 'Jackie Down the Line' and 'I Love You', became their first No. 1 in Ireland and the UK and helped them win the Brit Award for International Group. Chatten released a solo album, Chaos for the Fly, in 2023. Romance (23 August 2024), their first album for XL Recordings, produced by James Ford, reached No. 2 in the UK and the top ten in twelve European countries; 'Starburster' became their first UK chart single and the theme of the series MobLand.

The band's music runs through Andrea Arnold's film Bird (2024), in which O'Connell made his acting debut. Dopamine Chamber, their fifth album, is released on 16 October 2026, a few days before the European arena tour begins.

Fontaines D.C. Europe Tour 2027: Slane, the homecoming

Slane Castle on 26 and 27 June 2027 is the band's biggest Irish event to date. They have climbed every step of the Irish ladder: Mike the Pies in Listowel and the Button Factory in 2018, Vicar Street in 2019 and 2022, the Iveagh Gardens in 2022, the 3Arena in December 2024 and the Guinness Storehouse in May 2025.

The natural amphitheatre above the River Boyne has staged concerts since 1981. Hayley Williams is on the bill on the first night, Saturday 26 June.

Fontaines D.C. Europe Tour 2027: Rome and Milan, a year on

The 2027 Italian dates mirror their summer 2025 visit almost exactly: the Capannelle racecourse in Rome, home of Rock in Roma, on 18 June 2025 and 18 June 2027, then Milan the following night. In 2025 Milan meant the Carroponte; in 2027 it is the Ippodromo SNAI San Siro, the city's San Siro racecourse.

Italy has followed the band since a festival in Castelbuono, Sicily, in 2019, with the Teatro Regio in Parma in 2021, the Alcatraz in 2022 and 2024, and the Unipol Arena in Bologna on 26 October 2026.

Fontaines D.C. Europe Tour 2027: Spain and Carlos O'Connell

Spain was the first foreign country to host the band, in 2017, and it remains one of their strongest markets. Madrid, where O'Connell grew up, has seen them at the Sala Alive, Caracol, the Sala Cool, La Riviera and the WiZink Center, now the Movistar Arena, which they play again on 22 October 2026.

Barcelona's Sant Jordi Club on 24 October 2026 follows three Primavera Sound appearances, and the August 2026 shows in Cádiz, Alicante and Pamplona took the band beyond the two big cities.

Fontaines D.C. Europe Tour 2027: Hamburg in August

The Barclays Arena date on 11 August 2027 stands alone in the German calendar. Hamburg has hosted the band at the Molotow (2019), the Gruenspan (2022) and the Alsterdorfer Sporthalle (2024), and Berlin hosts them at the Max-Schmeling-Halle on 2 November 2026.

The Hamburg show is the only 2027 indoor arena date announced so far in mainland Europe, and it comes a month after the London Stadium finale of the British run.

Fontaines D.C. Europe Tour 2027: what to expect live

The band's recent sets run to around 20 songs. At Electric Picnic on 30 August 2026 they opened with 'Boys in the Better Land' and 'Here's the Thing', played the new single 'Marianne' and the unreleased 'Six Shot Morning', and closed with 'Favourite', 'In the Modern World', 'I Love You' and 'Starburster'. 'Jackie Down the Line', 'Televised Mind', 'Roman Holiday', 'Big' and 'Bug' were also in the set.

On the Romance arena tour of November 2024 each show opened with 'Romance' and ended with 'I Love You' and 'Starburster'. In 2026 and 2027 Dopamine Chamber should take a larger share of the set; touring keyboard player Alexander 'Chilli' Jesson has been part of the live band since 2023. Set lists change from night to night.
