James Blunt spends most of February and March 2027 on the road in continental Europe with the Airplane Mode Tour, named after his eighth studio album. The confirmed dates listed on this page start at Forest National in Brussels on Friday 19 February 2027 and continue through Amsterdam, Prague, Hamburg, Oslo, Gothenburg, Copenhagen and Berlin before the tour crosses to Dublin's 3Arena on Tuesday 30 March.
The UK part of the tour follows from Leeds on 26 March to Brighton on 8 April. The full published itinerary of the tour, 37 shows between 17 February and 8 April 2027, also includes a long run of German, Swiss, Austrian, Italian and Central European arenas, listed below.
Blunt is one of the most frequent British visitors to Europe's arenas: the setlist.fm archive holds more than a hundred of his concerts on the continent and in Ireland since 2004. This page sets out the 2027 dates and venues, how tickets were sold, and the long story of his European nights, from Vicar Street in Dublin to seven evenings at Forest National.
The Airplane Mode Tour was announced in early September 2026, together with the album Airplane Mode, due on 6 November 2026 on Atlantic Records. It follows the Back to Bedlam 20th Anniversary Tour of 2025, on which he played his debut album in full. Tickets have been on sale since 9 September 2026.
The tour's published itinerary opens at the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg, on 17 February 2027. In May 2005, on the Back to Bedlam World Tour, he played L'Orangerie at the Botanique in Brussels, and in December 2005 St James' Church in Dingle, County Kerry. In July 2006 he played Prague Castle.
The All the Lost Souls years brought two nights at Forest National in Brussels in 2008 (16 March and 15 October), the Hovet in Stockholm, the Ahoy in Rotterdam, the Heineken Music Hall and the Tesla Arena in Prague in October 2008. The Some Kind of Trouble World Tour returned to Forest National on 8 March 2011 and to Copenhagen's Store Vega in February 2012.

The Once Upon A Mind World Tour reached Forest National on 25 February 2020, AFAS Live three nights later and the Tipsport Arena in Prague on 6 March 2020, days before the pandemic halted touring. The Stars Beneath My Feet Tour of 2022 restarted with Palais 12 in Brussels on 29 March and a string of German arenas, then open-air nights in Germany, Denmark and Ireland, including Dublin's Iveagh Gardens.

Blunt has mixed arenas with festivals and summer open-air series throughout his career. The archive includes Rock Werchter in Belgium in July 2008 and July 2011, Dranouter and Ronquières in Belgium in August 2014, the Plaine de l'Asse at Nyon and Pori's Kirjurinluoto Arena in July 2014, and Bospop at Weert in the Netherlands on 13 July 2024.
Swiss summer festivals have been a regular stop: Lakelive in Nidau and the Heitere Open Air in Zofingen in August 2025, and SummerDays in Arbon and the Seaside Festival in Spiez in 2024. The Cap Roig festival on the Costa Brava booked him in 2014 and again in 2025.
The 2027 Airplane Mode Tour is an indoor arena run in late winter and spring; no European festival appearances for summer 2027 had been announced as of 6 October 2026.
James Hillier Blount was born on 22 February 1974 at Tidworth Camp in Hampshire into a military family, and spent parts of his childhood in Cyprus and in Soest, Germany. His mother ran a ski chalet company in Méribel in the French Alps. He studied sociology at the University of Bristol on an army bursary and served six years in the British Army, rising to captain in the Life Guards.
In 1999 he served with NATO in Kosovo, where he wrote "No Bravery" with a guitar strapped to his tank, and he was involved in the stand-off at Pristina Airport. He later captained the Household Cavalry ski team in Verbier, Switzerland, and stood guard at the Queen Mother's coffin in 2002 before leaving the army that October.
Back to Bedlam (2004) made him a star: "You're Beautiful" reached number one in thirteen countries, and the album was the best-selling album of the 2000s in the UK. All the Lost Souls (2007), with "1973", went to number one in twelve countries. Some Kind of Trouble (2010), Moon Landing (2013), The Afterlove (2017), Once Upon a Mind (2019) and Who We Used to Be (2023) followed at intervals of about three years.
By 2021 he had sold more than 23 million albums. He has won two Brit Awards, including Best British Male in 2006, two MTV Video Music Awards and two Ivor Novello Awards, and has received five Grammy nominations. He has also opened for Elton John in 2004 and for Ed Sheeran on the ÷ Tour. Airplane Mode, his eighth album, is due on 6 November 2026.

No continental venue appears more often in Blunt's archive than Forest National. He played it on 16 March and 15 October 2008, 8 March 2011, 2 April 2014, 3 November 2017, 25 February 2020 and 18 February 2025. Friday 19 February 2027 will be his eighth concert there.
Belgium has been loyal in other ways too: Rock Werchter twice, Palais 12 in 2022 and 2024, the Forum in Liège in September 2024, open-air nights at Dranouter and Ronquières, and an early club show at L'Orangerie in 2005. Brussels is also the first confirmed date of the 2027 leg on this page, two days after the tour opens in Luxembourg.
Germany is the core of every Blunt tour of the continent. The 2014 Moon Landing tour played more than twenty-five German dates over the year, and the 2024 tour twelve German arenas in March alone. In 2027 Hamburg (14 March) and Berlin (20 March) are among the dates confirmed here, and the published itinerary adds Nuremberg, Hanover, Munich, Leipzig, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Freiburg and Mannheim.
Hamburg's Barclays Arena is a familiar room: he played it as the O2 World Hamburg in 2014, then in 2022, 2024 and February 2025. The Uber Arena in Berlin, then the O2 World, hosted him in March 2014 and again in March 2024 and February 2025.
Between 16 and 19 March 2027 Blunt plays Oslo Spektrum, Scandinavium in Gothenburg and the Royal Arena in Copenhagen. Oslo Spektrum was one of the first arenas he headlined in Europe, on 26 January 2006; since then he has played the smaller Sentrum Scene in 2014 and 2018.
Gothenburg is a new city in his archive, and the Royal Arena, opened in 2017, is a step up from KB Hallen in 2006 and Store Vega in 2012. Sweden had previously seen him at the Hovet, Annexet, Malmö and Linköping.
Prague has seen him at almost every stage of his career: Prague Castle in July 2006, the Tesla Arena in 2008, the Tipsport Arena in March 2020 and Forum Karlín in March 2024. On Friday 5 March 2027 he plays O2 universum, the hall that opened in 2019 next to the O2 arena.
Amsterdam moved up a level in 2025, when the Back to Bedlam anniversary show on 4 March was his first at the Ziggo Dome after years at the Heineken Music Hall and AFAS Live. He returns to the Ziggo Dome on Saturday 20 February 2027.
Ireland gave Blunt his first entry in the European archive, at Vicar Street in October 2004, and it has stayed on almost every tour since: the 3Arena in 2014, 2017 and March 2025, Killarney in 2014 and 2022, the Iveagh Gardens in 2022, and Collins Barracks and Limerick in August 2024.
In 2027 Ireland gets a single date, the 3Arena on Tuesday 30 March, between the English shows in Newcastle and the Belfast date the following night.
A James Blunt concert usually runs to about twenty songs. On the 2025 anniversary tour he played all of Back to Bedlam first, opening with "High", "You're Beautiful", "Wisemen" and "Goodbye My Lover" and continuing through "Tears and Rain", "Out of My Mind", "So Long, Jimmy", "Billy", "Cry" and "No Bravery". The second half at Forest National on 18 February 2025 added "I'll Take Everything", "Carry You Home", "Postcards", "Coz I Luv You", "Stay the Night", "OK", "Monsters", "Same Mistake", "Bonfire Heart" and the closing "1973".
Across the European archive the most played songs are "You're Beautiful", "1973", "High", "Wisemen", "Goodbye My Lover" and "Stay the Night", and "1973" or "Bonfire Heart" has closed most recent shows.
The 2027 set will be built around Airplane Mode, which comes out on 6 November 2026; no set list for the new tour has been published yet.
Tickets for the Airplane Mode Tour have been on sale since 9 September 2026 through the official ticketing outlets of each country. Each venue's own website names its official seller, which is the safest place to start.
There is no public presale code to buy or share. Codes or "guaranteed" tickets offered on social media are not genuine; if a date sells out, use the official resale or ticket exchange available in that country rather than unofficial resale sites, where prices can be far above face value.
Several dates are on weekdays and the itinerary moves quickly between countries, so check the city and date on your ticket. The alert button on this page will tell you about extra dates or returned tickets.
