Madonna has not announced a tour of Europe for 2027. As of 6 October 2026 there is no arena run, stadium date or residency on the continent or in Ireland, even though her fifteenth studio album, Confessions II, came out on 3 July 2026 and went to number one in both the UK and the US.
The album era has so far been promoted with television appearances and a handful of special concerts rather than a tour. In Europe that meant a short appearance in Milan in February 2026, a club-sized show billed as Club Confessions at the Paradis Latin cabaret in Paris on 23 June 2026, and a WorldPride concert at AFAS Live in Amsterdam on 1 August 2026, where Kylie Minogue joined her on stage.
This page explains what is and is not known about her plans and gives a detailed account of four decades of Madonna concerts in continental Europe and Ireland, from Italian discotheques in October 1983 to the Celebration Tour arenas of autumn 2023.
There is no official information about a Madonna tour in 2027. Her last full tour, the Celebration Tour, began in London in October 2023, spent October to December 2023 in European arenas and ended in May 2024 with a free concert on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro that drew an audience of about 1.6 million. Since then she has released the remix album Veronica Electronica (2025), the EP Bedtime Stories: The Untold Chapter (2025) and Confessions II (2026), but has not announced a new tour.
Confessions II reunited her with the producer Stuart Price and is a follow-up to Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005). Its singles 'Bring Your Love', 'Love Sensation' and 'Danceteria' have been performed on large stages, including the halftime show of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final in New Jersey on 19 July 2026 and the opening of the MTV Video Music Awards, where she won seven awards including Best Album and Artist of the Year.
The original Confessions album was followed by the Confessions Tour of 2006, which played stadiums and arenas in Rome, Düsseldorf, Hanover, Paris and Amsterdam. Fans will be watching for a similar step with Confessions II, but no dates, cities or venues have been published. Madonna lived in Lisbon for several years from 2017 and has played Europe on every tour since 1987, which is why expectations of a European leg are high.
Until there is an official announcement, treat any 'presale code', ticket listing or leaked list of 2027 European dates with suspicion. For an artist of her scale, invented tour schedules spread quickly after every new single.
Madonna's first European appearances were promotional. The setlist archive shows two discotheque performances in Italy on 23 October 1983, at Le Rotonde in Garlasco and the Discoteca Biggest in Samassi, months before Like a Virgin. Her first European concerts came on the Who's That Girl World Tour in August and September 1987, with stadium shows at the Waldstadion in Frankfurt on 22 August, two nights at the Feijenoord Stadion in Rotterdam on 25 and 26 August, and Turin and Florence in early September 1987.
The Blond Ambition World Tour returned in July 1990 with the Stadio Flaminio in Rome on 10 July, the Stadio delle Alpi in Turin on 13 July, the Reitstadion Riem in Munich on 15 July, the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund on 17 July, the Feijenoord Stadion on 24 July, the Estadio Vicente Calderón in Madrid on 27 July, Balaídos in Vigo on 29 July and the Estadi Olímpic de Montjuïc in Barcelona on 1 August 1990. The Girlie Show played three nights at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy in September and October 1993.
After an eight-year gap in touring, the Drowned World Tour of 2001 played two nights at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona on 9 and 10 June, three at the FilaForum in Assago near Milan, four at the Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin and two at Bercy on 29 and 30 June. The Re-Invention World Tour of 2004 gave her first Irish concert in the archive, at Slane Castle on 29 August 2004, then played four nights at Bercy, two at the Gelredome in Arnhem and two at the Pavilhão Atlântico in Lisbon. The Confessions Tour of 2006 played the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on 6 August, Düsseldorf and Hanover, four nights at Bercy and two at the Amsterdam ArenA on 3 and 4 September 2006.
The Sticky & Sweet Tour was her largest European undertaking. In 2008 it played stadiums in Nice, Berlin, Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, Rome, Frankfurt, Lisbon and Seville, the Ricardo Tormo circuit at Cheste near Valencia and two nights at the Stade de France on 20 and 21 September 2008. It returned in summer 2009 for Bercy, the Festivalpark in Werchter, San Siro in Milan, Udine, Barcelona's Olympic stadium, the Vicente Calderón in Madrid, Zaragoza and the Olympiastadion in Munich on 18 August 2009. The MDNA Tour of 2012 followed with the Stadio Olimpico, San Siro, Florence, Barcelona, Coimbra, Berlin, the Ziggo Dome, Cologne, the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, the Stade de France on 14 July, the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on 24 July and Nice on 21 August 2012.
The Rebel Heart Tour of 2015 moved indoors: two nights at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, two at the O2 Arena in Prague, two in Berlin, Stockholm's Tele2 Arena, Herning in Denmark, three nights at the Pala Alpitour in Turin, two in Barcelona, the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Mannheim, two at the Ziggo Dome, two at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris on 9 and 10 December and the Hallenstadion in Zürich on 12 December 2015. After the second Paris show she also played a short acoustic set at the Place de la République.
The Madame X Tour of 2020 was a theatre tour: six nights at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon in January 2020 and eight at Le Grand Rex in Paris between 22 February and 8 March 2020, when the tour ended early after France banned large gatherings because of COVID-19. The Celebration Tour of 2023 then played two nights each at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, the Altice Arena in Lisbon, the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, the Mediolanum Forum near Milan, the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin and the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, plus the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm and four nights at the Accor Arena in Paris, ending in Amsterdam on 2 December 2023.
The table below lists 128 documented European concerts by Madonna between 1987 and 2026, with the most shows in Paris (28), Berlin (11), Lisbon (11), Amsterdam (10), Barcelona (10), Assago (5). It is not exhaustive: it only includes documented shows.

Across the 15 most recent documented European concerts with a full song list (6 November 2023 to 1 August 2026), these are the songs that came up most often. Titles only — set lists change from night to night.
Madonna has almost never played European festivals. Her concerts on the continent have been her own headline shows, even on open-air sites: the Festivalpark in Werchter, home of Rock Werchter, hosted a Madonna concert on 11 July 2009, listed as a regular date of the Sticky & Sweet Tour. The archive also includes the WorldPride event at AFAS Live in Amsterdam on 1 August 2026, part of Pride Amsterdam, where she sang a new version of 'Love Sensation' with Kylie Minogue.
Madonna Louise Ciccone was born on 16 August 1958 in Bay City, Michigan. She moved to New York in 1978 to pursue dance, played drums, guitar and sang in the rock bands Breakfast Club and Emmy, and rose to fame with her debut album Madonna in 1983. Like a Virgin (1984), True Blue (1986) and the compilation The Immaculate Collection (1990) are among the best-selling albums of all time.
Rolling Stone ranks Like a Prayer (1989), Ray of Light (1998) and Music (2000) among the greatest albums ever made, and her number-one singles include 'Like a Virgin', 'Papa Don't Preach', 'La Isla Bonita', 'Like a Prayer', 'Vogue', 'Take a Bow', 'Frozen', 'Music', 'Hung Up' and '4 Minutes'. She won a Golden Globe for Evita (1996), ran the Maverick label and founded the Ray of Light Foundation and Raising Malawi.
She is the best-selling female music artist of all time and the first woman to earn one billion dollars from concerts, a mark passed during the MDNA Tour, which grossed more than 305 million dollars from 88 shows. Her honours include seven Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in her first year of eligibility. The Celebration Tour grossed more than 225 million dollars across eighty shows.
In 2017 she moved to Lisbon, where local musicians inspired Madame X (2019). After returning to Warner Records in 2021 she reissued her catalogue and released remix projects. Confessions II, released on 3 July 2026, debuted at number one in the US and the UK, making her and the Beatles the only acts with ten number ones on the Billboard 200, the Hot 100, the UK Albums Chart and the UK singles chart. Its single 'Love Sensation' with Kylie Minogue became her 65th UK top-ten single.

No continental city has hosted Madonna more often than Paris. The archive lists two nights at Bercy in 2001, four in 2004, four in 2006 and one in 2009, two Stade de France stadium shows in September 2008 and another on 14 July 2012, two nights at the AccorHotels Arena in December 2015, eight at Le Grand Rex in 2020 and four at the Accor Arena in November 2023. She also played small promotional shows at the Olympia in 2008 and 2012.
Paris has been part of the Confessions II era too: the Club Confessions show at the Paradis Latin on 23 June 2026 was a three-song performance in a Paris cabaret hall. If a tour follows, Paris is one of the most likely cities to host several nights, but no date has been announced.
Madonna moved to Lisbon in 2017, and the city became the starting point of the Madame X Tour's European leg, with six nights at the Coliseu dos Recreios in January 2020, a theatre far smaller than the arenas she usually plays. The album itself was shaped by the fado, morna and samba musicians she met there through Dino D'Santiago.
Portugal had seen her before at the Pavilhão Atlântico in 2004, the Parque da Bela Vista in 2008 and Coimbra's stadium in 2012, and she returned to the Altice Arena for two Celebration Tour nights on 6 and 7 November 2023.
Italy has a special place in Madonna's European history. Her first appearances on the continent were in Italian clubs in October 1983, and her stadium shows there include the Stadio Comunale in Turin and Florence in 1987, the Flaminio and the Stadio delle Alpi in 1990, the Stadio Olimpico in Rome in 2006, 2008 and 2012, and San Siro in Milan in 2009 and 2012.
Later tours moved indoors to the Pala Alpitour in Turin, with three nights in November 2015, and the Mediolanum Forum near Milan in November 2023. In January 2026 she recorded Patty Pravo's 1968 song 'La bambola' for a Dolce & Gabbana campaign, and in February 2026 she made a two-song appearance in Milan.
The archive lists two Madonna concerts in Ireland, both on a large scale: at Slane Castle on 29 August 2004 on the Re-Invention World Tour, and at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on 24 July 2012 on the MDNA Tour, a 19-song show.
She did not play Ireland on the Rebel Heart, Madame X or Celebration tours, so her last Irish concert in the archive dates from 2012. Nothing has been announced for 2027.
Germany has had Madonna on every major tour since 1987: Frankfurt's Waldstadion, Munich and Dortmund in 1990, four nights in Berlin in 2001, the Olympiastadion in Berlin and Munich on Sticky & Sweet, the Lanxess Arena in Cologne in 2012, 2015 and 2023, and two nights at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin in November 2023.
In the Netherlands she went from the Feijenoord Stadion in Rotterdam in 1987 and 1990 to the Gelredome in Arnhem in 2004, the Amsterdam ArenA in 2006 and 2008, and two nights each at the Ziggo Dome in 2012, 2015 and 2023. The WorldPride show at AFAS Live on 1 August 2026 is her most recent concert in the country.
The Celebration Tour shows in Europe, billed as her first greatest hits tour, ran to about 26 or 27 songs. They were her longest European sets in the archive; the Rebel Heart shows of 2015 had 20 to 22 songs and the MDNA shows of 2012 had 19.
The Madame X theatre shows of 2020 ran to between 16 and 22 songs and were built around the album, while the 2026 appearances in Milan, Paris and Amsterdam were short sets of two to seven songs focused on Confessions II. No full Confessions II concert set has yet been performed in Europe.
There are no Madonna tickets on sale for Europe in 2027, because no concerts have been announced. Any site already selling seats or offering a 'presale code' for a 2027 European tour is not official.
For past tours, tickets were sold through the official ticket outlets of each country and the venues' own sites, often with a fan club presale before the general sale. If new dates are announced, use only those official channels, and if you need to resell, use the official resale platform of the country concerned. Be wary of unofficial resale sites and social media offers.
