Megadeth bring their 2027 UK and European tour to the continent in late March and early April 2027. After eight arena nights in Belfast and Great Britain between 9 and 19 March, the band cross the Channel for Forest National in Brussels on 23 March, Amsterdam on 24 March, the Mitsubishi Electric Halle in Düsseldorf on 25 March and the Oslo Spektrum on 28 March, before three German dates in Hamburg (30 March), Berlin (1 April) and Munich (4 April 2027).
This run carries extra weight. The band's seventeenth studio album, simply titled Megadeth, came out in 2026 and became their first record to top the Billboard 200, and Dave Mustaine has said that Megadeth will disband once the tour supporting that album is over. For European fans who have followed the group since the late 1980s, these spring 2027 shows are among the last chances to see the thrash pioneers on an indoor stage of their own.
Below you will find every confirmed date, the arenas, a night-by-night view of the run and a detailed look at Megadeth's concerts in continental Europe and Ireland since their first club shows in Amsterdam and Paris in March 1987.
Tickets for the 2027 dates have been on sale since 7 August 2026. The routing is compact: seven continental shows in thirteen days, with only one day off between Brussels, Amsterdam and Düsseldorf, then a jump north to Norway and a final swing through Germany. Venues are confirmed for Brussels, Düsseldorf and Oslo; the halls in Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin and Munich are still listed as to be confirmed in our data, and this page will be updated when they are published.
The tour follows a busy 2025 and 2026 in Europe. In October 2025 Megadeth played arenas in Düsseldorf (PSD Bank Dome, 1 October), Stuttgart (Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, 3 October), Paris (Le Zénith, 12 October), Amsterdam (Ziggo Dome, 14 October), Munich (Olympiahalle, 17 October) and Berlin (Velodrom, 18 October). In May and June 2026 they returned for a summer run that opened at the new Roig Arena in Valencia on 25 May and took in A Coruña, Barakaldo, Hanover, Gelsenkirchen, Ferrara and several of the big metal festivals.
The current line-up is Dave Mustaine on vocals and guitar, James LoMenzo on bass, guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari and drummer Dirk Verbeuren. Mäntysaari is the newest member, and the 2027 dates will be among his last European shows with the band if Mustaine's plan to disband holds.
No support act is listed for the European dates in our data. Megadeth have often toured Europe on shared bills, from the Clash of the Titans package in 1990 to the Priest Feast arena tour with Judas Priest in 2009, so a guest announcement would not be unusual; until one is made, plan for Megadeth as the only confirmed name.
Forest National (Vorst Nationaal in Dutch) is a circular indoor arena in the municipality of Forest, in the south of Brussels. It opened in 1970 and holds between 2,500 and 8,000 people depending on the layout; it is operated by be•at.
The Mitsubishi Electric Halle in Düsseldorf, long known as the Philips Halle, opened in 1971. It is an indoor arena with a capacity of about 7,500 people.
Oslo Spektrum opened in December 1990 in central Oslo, next to the central station and the Jernbanetorget transport hub. It hosts the annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert and staged the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996.

Tuesday 23 March 2027 — Forest National, Brussels. Their most recent documented Brussels show was at Ancienne Belgique on 27 May 2013.
Wednesday 24 March 2027 — venue to be announced, Amsterdam. Night 1 of 4 at this venue. In Amsterdam, the last documented Megadeth concert was at Ziggo Dome (14 October 2025).
Thursday 25 March 2027 — Mitsubishi Electric Halle, Düsseldorf.
Sunday 28 March 2027 — Oslo Spektrum, Oslo. Megadeth last played Oslo Spektrum on 23 January 2020 (Europe 2020).
Megadeth's European story starts in small rooms. The earliest continental shows in the setlist archive are on the Wake Up Dead tour: the Grote Zaal in Amsterdam on 8 March 1987 and the New Morning jazz club in Paris on 15 March 1987. A year later, on the So Far, So Good... So What! tour, they were in much larger halls: the Olympic Ballroom in Dublin on 10 May 1988, the PalaTrussardi in Milan on 24 May, Le Zénith in Paris on 26 May and the IJsselhallen in Zwolle on 29 May, then a return to Paris at the Palais Omnisports de Bercy on 24 September 1988.
The Clash of the Titans package of autumn 1990 is one of the most documented runs in the band's history. It opened at the Limburghal in Genk on 22 September 1990 and passed through Bern, Florence, Milan, Barcelona's Velòdrom d'Horta, San Sebastián, Leiden, Le Zénith in Paris on 2 October, Stuttgart, Mainz, Munich, Düsseldorf's Philips Halle on 6 October, Bremen, Stockholm and Copenhagen's K.B. Hallen on 10 October 1990. The Philips Halle is the venue now called the Mitsubishi Electric Halle, which hosts Megadeth again on 25 March 2027.
Through the 1990s the band came back with every album. The Countdown to Extinction tour reached the Plaza de Toros Monumental in Barcelona and Las Ventas in Madrid in September 1992, along with Le Zénith in Paris on 22 September; in June 1993 they played the Feijenoord Stadion in Rotterdam and the Stadio delle Alpi in Turin. The Youth in Europe run of spring 1995 covered Bologna, Rome, the Forum di Assago, Leganés, Barcelona, Paris (21 April), Nancy, Arnhem and Deinze. Cryptic Writings brought them to the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels in October 1997, and the Risk tour to Bercy and Rotterdam Ahoy in September 1999.
The 2000s mixed clubs and arenas. On the Blackmail the Universe tour of 2005 they played the 013 in Tilburg, Razzmatazz in Barcelona and the Alcatraz in Milan; on the Priest Feast tour of 2009 they shared arenas with Judas Priest, from the Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin on 26 February to Le Zénith in Paris on 21 March, Forest National in Brussels on 22 March and the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam on 23 March 2009. The Rust in Peace 20th Anniversary Tour of June 2010 went back to clubs such as the Estragon in Bologna and L'Aéronef in Lille.
The European Carnage Tour of spring 2011 is the band's widest continental tour on record, from the Helsinki Ice Hall on 17 March to the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven on 14 April, with stops in Oslo, Aarhus, Forest National on 23 March, Bamberg, Paris, Madrid, A Coruña, Lisbon's Pavilhão Atlântico, Barcelona, Rome, Padua, Vienna's Gasometer, Budapest, Prague's O2 Arena, Łódź's Atlas Arena and Zürich. Exactly sixteen years later, on 23 March 2027, Megadeth are back at Forest National. That summer they also played the 'Big Four' shows with Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen (2 July 2011), at Fiera Milano in Rho and at Amnéville.
The last decade has seen Megadeth in Europe almost every year: the Oslo Spektrum on 5 June 2018 and 23 January 2020, a winter 2020 arena tour through Amsterdam's AFAS Live, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Oberhausen, Stuttgart and Munich, the Mitsubishi Electric Halle in Düsseldorf on 14 June 2022, L'Olympia in Paris on 22 August 2023, the Crush the World dates of June 2024 and the arena run of October 2025.
The table below lists 254 documented European concerts by Megadeth between 1987 and 2026, with the most shows in Paris (19), Oslo (12), Milan (11), Barcelona (10), Dessel (9), Clisson (8). It is not exhaustive: it only includes documented shows.

Concert data: setlist.fm
Across the 15 most recent documented European concerts with a full song list (3 October 2025 to 3 July 2026), these are the songs that came up most often. Titles only — set lists change from night to night.
Few touring bands have played as many European metal festivals. The setlist archive shows Megadeth at the Val de Moine site in Clisson, home of Hellfest, in 2007, 2012, 2016, 2018, 2022 (twice), 2024 and on 20 June 2026, and at the festival grounds in Dessel, home of Graspop Metal Meeting, in 1997, 2001, 2005, 2012, 2016, 2018, 2022, 2024 and on 18 June 2026. They have also played the Infield at Wacken in 2014, 2017 and 2023, the airfield at Dinkelsbühl in 2017 and 2023, the football ground at Viveiro in 2014, 2018 and 2024, Villena in 2017 and 2023, and Parc de Can Zam in Santa Coloma de Gramenet in 2018, 2022 and 2026.
Older festival nights include the Ardshock event at the IJsselhallen in Zwolle in May 1988 and the Elmu festival in Helsinki the day before. The 2027 run is an indoor arena tour with no festival dates announced so far.
Megadeth were formed in Los Angeles in 1983 by Dave Mustaine, shortly after he was dismissed from Metallica on 11 April 1983. He had been Metallica's lead guitarist since 1981 and wrote parts of several of their early songs. With bassist David Ellefson he built a band meant to be faster and heavier, and the name came from a phrase in a political pamphlet about the 'arsenal of megadeath'.
The debut album, Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good!, appeared on Combat Records in 1985. Capitol Records then took over the contract and released Peace Sells... but Who's Buying? in 1986. So Far, So Good... So What! (1988), Rust in Peace (1990), Countdown to Extinction (1992) and Youthanasia (1994) made Megadeth one of the 'big four' of American thrash metal with Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax. Five of their albums went platinum in the United States.
The band split in 2002 after Mustaine injured his arm and returned in 2004 without Ellefson, who rejoined in 2010 and was dismissed in 2021. Megadeth hosted their own touring festival, Gigantour, between 2005 and 2013 and launched the MegaCruise in October 2019. After twelve Grammy nominations, they won Best Metal Performance in 2017 for the song 'Dystopia'.
The Sick, the Dying... and the Dead! (2022) reached No. 3 in the UK. The self-titled Megadeth followed in 2026, also reaching No. 3 in the UK and becoming the band's first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. Mustaine has said it is the final studio album and that the band will disband after the supporting tour, which places the 2027 European dates near the end of a 43-year career.

Mustaine's statement that Megadeth will disband after the tour for the self-titled album changes how these dates read. The band have played Europe in almost every format over four decades, from jazz clubs to stadium bills, and the 2027 run puts them in mid-sized arenas rather than festival fields: Forest National holds about 8,000 people and the Mitsubishi Electric Halle about 7,500.
Fans should not assume more European dates will follow. Nothing beyond the seven continental shows listed here has been announced, and the band have not said when the tour as a whole will end.
Belgium has been one of Megadeth's most loyal markets. Before Forest National on 23 March 2027 the band had played Genk in 1990 and 1992, Deinze in 1995, the Ancienne Belgique in 1997, 2010 and 2013, Hof Ter Lo in Antwerp in 2005 and 2008, Forest National in 2009 and 2011, Lokeren in 2017 and 2023 and the festival fields of Dessel nine times.
Forest National, with its circular hall in the south of Brussels, is a familiar room for the band and a fitting first continental stop. It is also the only Benelux venue of the run confirmed so far, as the Amsterdam hall for the following night is still to be announced.
Germany gets four of the seven continental shows: Düsseldorf on 25 March and then Hamburg, Berlin and Munich between 30 March and 4 April 2027. The Mitsubishi Electric Halle in Düsseldorf, formerly the Philips Halle, has hosted the band in 1990 and 2022.
Berlin and Hamburg have long been regular stops. Berlin has seen Megadeth at the Max-Schmeling-Halle (2009 and 2020), Huxleys Neue Welt (2016), the Mercedes-Benz Arena (2022) and the Velodrom (2025); Hamburg at the Alsterdorfer Sporthalle, the Docks and the Grossmarkt. Munich, the last continental show of the run, last welcomed them at the Olympiahalle on 17 October 2025.
Oslo is the only Nordic city on the 2027 schedule. Megadeth have a long history there, mostly at the Sentrum Scene club (1992, 1995, 2008, 2011 and 2013), and they moved up to the Oslo Spektrum, next to the central station, in 2018 and 2020.
Fans in Stockholm, Copenhagen and Helsinki, all visited on earlier tours, have no date of their own this time and will need to travel to Norway on 28 March 2027.
Recent European set lists are tight and heavy on the classic albums. On the summer 2026 dates Megadeth played 14 to 17 songs, opening with 'Tipping Point' and closing with 'Peace Sells', 'Symphony of Destruction' and 'Holy Wars... The Punishment Due'. 'Hangar 18', 'Take No Prisoners', 'Sweating Bullets', 'Tornado of Souls' and 'Countdown to Extinction' were near-constant, alongside newer songs such as 'I Don't Care' and 'Let There Be Shred'.
Several shows in 2026 included 'Mechanix' and a version of 'Ride the Lightning', two songs from Mustaine's Metallica period, and the Clisson set featured 'À tout le monde'. Arena shows in October 2025 ran to 10 to 12 songs on shared bills; a headline arena set in 2027 is likely to be longer, though set lists change from night to night.
The band's mascot, Vic Rattlehead, is a regular part of the stage show, and the arena format of this tour should allow a full production rather than the shorter festival sets of recent summers.
The 2027 European dates have been on sale since 7 August 2026 through the official ticket outlet of each country and the venues' own websites. In Belgium that means the Forest National box office channels, in Germany the local promoters and the arenas, and in Norway the Oslo Spektrum.
There is no public Megadeth presale code for these dates, and codes sold or shared on social media are not genuine. If a show sells out, use only the official resale platform of the country concerned; tickets from unofficial resellers may be refused at the door.
Prices are set by the local promoters and vary between cities and between standing and seated areas. For Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin and Munich, wait for the venue to be confirmed before buying from any source that already claims to sell seats. The alert buttons on this page will tell you when venues and extra nights are announced.
