Muse take The Wow! Signal around Europe's arenas in two waves. The first opens on 12 November 2026 at Co-op Live in Manchester and moves through Berlin, Milan, Düsseldorf, Paris, Amsterdam and Montpellier before two closing nights at the Hallenstadion in Zürich on 7 and 8 December 2026. The second wave, announced on 2 October 2026, is the part that belongs to 2027: eight indoor shows in Portugal, France and Spain, extended on 7 October 2026 with a ninth, high-demand date in Valencia: nine shows between 10 and 24 January.
That January leg is short but dense. It starts at the MEO Arena in Lisbon on 10 January 2027, crosses into south-west France for two nights at the Arkéa Arena near Bordeaux (12 and 13 January) and two at the LDLC Arena outside Lyon (16 and 17 January), then finishes in Spain with two nights at the Movistar Arena in Madrid (19 and 20 January) and two at the new Roig Arena in Valencia on 23 and 24 January, the second added because of demand. None of these cities was on the autumn 2026 routing, which is why the extra run exists.
This page collects the confirmed European dates, a guide to the five 2027 arenas, a night-by-night view of the run, and a long look back at how Muse have played the continent since a small festival stage in northern Portugal in August 2000. Use the alert buttons to be told about added shows and returned tickets.
The Wow! Signal is the band's tenth studio album, released on 26 June 2026. Its lyrics draw on space, the search for extraterrestrial life and Matt Bellamy's separation from his wife, and it was trailed by the singles "Unravelling", "Be with You", "Cryogen", "Hexagons", "Nightshift Superstar" and "Hush". The album was followed by a North American tour in July 2026, with the European arena tour planned from November.
The autumn 2026 European leg is built around the big northern markets: Berlin's Uber Arena on 18 November, two nights at the Unipol Dome in Milan (20 and 21 November), two at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf (24 and 25 November), one at Paris La Défense Arena on 27 November, two at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam (29 and 30 November), two at the Sud de France Arena in Montpellier (3 and 4 December) and two at Zürich's Hallenstadion. Spain, Portugal, Lyon and Bordeaux were left out of that first routing.
The January 2027 dates fill that gap. They are all arena shows, they come in pairs except for Lisbon, and they keep the band inside one corner of the continent for two weeks. For fans in Spain it is the first indoor Muse tour since the Drones World Tour played Madrid on 5 and 6 May 2016; their most recent Spanish shows were festival and stadium dates, including Iberdrola Music in Madrid on 10 July 2025.
The 2027 leg was announced on 2 October 2026. An artist presale is scheduled for Tuesday 6 October 2026, and the general sale for Thursday 8 October 2026 through the official outlets in each country; for Lyon, the general on-sale time had not been published at the time of writing.
The MEO Arena opened in 1998 as the Pavilhão Atlântico for the Expo '98 world fair in Parque das Nações, on the Tagus riverfront in eastern Lisbon. Holding around 20,000 people, it is Portugal's largest indoor arena and was called the Altice Arena between 2017 and 2025.
The Arkéa Arena opened on 24 January 2018 in Floirac, on the right bank of the Garonne just outside Bordeaux. Designed by Rudy Ricciotti to look like a pebble left by the river, it holds 11,300 with standing and 8,000 seated; Depeche Mode played its inaugural concert.
The LDLC Arena opened on 23 November 2023 in Décines-Charpieu, next to Groupama Stadium in the Lyon metropolitan area. It holds 16,000 for concerts and is the home of the LDLC ASVEL basketball club; it will host ice hockey at the 2030 Winter Olympics.
Madrid's Movistar Arena is the rebuilt Palacio de Deportes de la Comunidad de Madrid, reopened in 2005 after a fire destroyed the old hall in 2001. Known as the Barclaycard Center and then the WiZink Center, it holds about 17,000 for concerts and is one of the busiest arenas in Spain.
The Roig Arena opened in Valencia on 6 September 2025 as the home of Valencia Basket. It seats 15,600 for basketball and holds 18,600 for concerts with a stage at one end, or up to 20,000 for shows in the round.

Muse's first documented show in continental Europe was a festival set beside a reservoir in Vieira do Minho, in northern Portugal, on 23 August 2000, during the Showbiz era. Portugal has stayed loyal ever since. The band returned for club and theatre dates in Porto (Hard Club) and Lisbon (Aula Magna) in April 2002, played the Sudoeste festival site at Zambujeira do Mar that August, and came back almost every cycle: Campo Pequeno in October 2006, the Pavilhão Atlântico in November 2009, Estádio do Dragão in Porto on 10 June 2013 and two nights at the MEO Arena in May 2016. The 10 January 2027 show in Lisbon is a return to that same arena.
Belgium and the Netherlands were where the band first played big rooms on the mainland. After Absolution promo shows at The Max in Amsterdam and the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels in September 2003, Muse played Rotterdam Ahoy on 6 November 2003 and Forest National the next night. Rock Werchter has booked them repeatedly (2004, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2019 and 2023), and Pinkpop at Landgraaf has hosted them in 2004, 2007, 2015 and again on 22 June 2025. The first Ziggo Dome nights came in December 2012, followed by three more in March 2016 and one in September 2019.
France became the band's strongest market in continental Europe. They played Paris-Bercy on 18 October 2012, then two nights at the Stade de France on 21 and 22 June 2013 on the Unsustainable Tour. The Drones World Tour stayed six nights at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris between 26 February and 4 March 2016, a stand matched on that tour only by six nights at the Mediolanum Forum in Assago that May. Stadiums followed in 2019 (two more Stade de France nights, Orange Vélodrome in Marseille, Matmut Atlantique in Bordeaux) and in 2023 (Groupama Stadium in Décines, Bordeaux again, Stade de France on 8 July and Marseille on 15 July).
Italy has seen some of the band's best-known nights. The concert at Rome's Stadio Olimpico on 6 July 2013, in front of more than 60,000 people, became the live album Live at Rome Olympic Stadium and was the first concert filmed in 4K. Muse played two nights at Turin's Stadio Olimpico before it, six nights at the Mediolanum Forum in Assago in May 2016, two nights at San Siro in July 2019 and a single San Siro show on 22 July 2023. The November 2026 Unipol Dome dates are their first indoor Milan shows since 2016.
Germany has had fewer arena shows than France or Italy, but some unusual ones. Muse played the former Tempelhof airport in Berlin on 13 September 2015 and again on 11 June 2022, Rock am Ring at the Nürburgring in 2018 and 2022, Rock im Park on the Zeppelinfeld in Nuremberg in the same years, and the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne in 2019 and 2023. Spain completes the picture: Palau Sant Jordi in November 2009, the Vicente Calderón stadium in June 2010, the Estadi Olímpic in Barcelona on 7 June 2013, San Mamés in Bilbao in November 2018 and the Metropolitano in Madrid on 26 July 2019.
The table below lists 223 documented European concerts by Muse between 2000 and 2025, with the most shows in Paris (13), Lisbon (12), Milan (11), Madrid (8), Werchter (8), Amsterdam (8). It is not exhaustive: it only includes documented shows.

Across the 15 most recent documented European concerts with a full song list (15 June 2023 to 12 July 2025), these are the songs that came up most often. Titles only — set lists change from night to night.
European festivals have shaped Muse's touring as much as arena runs. Beyond Werchter and Pinkpop, the band played Lowlands in Biddinghuizen in 2006 and 2016, Benicàssim in 2007 and 2016, Bilbao BBK Live at Kobetamendi in 2015, Les Eurockéennes in Belfort in 2022, Beauregard in Hérouville-Saint-Clair the same summer, and Hurricane and Southside in Germany in June 2023.
Their only festival year in Europe since the Will of the People stadium tour was 2025: Hellfest at Clisson on 20 June, Pinkpop on 22 June, Iberdrola Music in Madrid on 10 July and NOS Alive at Algés, outside Lisbon, on 12 July. At NOS Alive the set already opened with "Unravelling", a year before The Wow! Signal came out.
Muse formed in Teignmouth, Devon, in 1994. Matt Bellamy (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Chris Wolstenholme (bass, backing vocals) and Dominic Howard (drums) had met in school bands at Teignmouth Community College and went through names such as Gothic Plague and Rocket Baby Dolls before winning a local battle of the bands in 1994 and settling on Muse.
Their debut album, Showbiz, came out in 1999, with a high falsetto and a melancholy alternative rock sound. Origin of Symmetry (2001) brought classical influences and a reputation for intense live shows, and Absolution (2003) was the first of seven consecutive UK number-one albums. Black Holes and Revelations (2006), with "Supermassive Black Hole", widened their audience, and The Resistance (2009) and The 2nd Law (2012) made them one of the major stadium acts of the decade.
Drones (2015), a concept album about drone warfare, topped the US Billboard 200. Simulation Theory (2018) leaned on synthesisers and science fiction, and Will of the People (2022) mixed the band's earlier styles. Bellamy has acknowledged that those two records were less well received than the band's earlier work, a point The Guardian also made in its coverage.
The band have won two Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards and eight NME Awards, and received the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement in 2012. By 2022 they had sold more than 30 million albums. In 2024 Chris Wolstenholme launched a solo project, Chromes, before the trio returned with The Wow! Signal in June 2026.
| Album | Year | Chart peak |
|---|---|---|
| Showbiz | 1999 | UK 29 |
| Origin of Symmetry | 2001 | UK 3 |
| Absolution | 2003 | UK 1 |
| Black Holes and Revelations | 2006 | UK 1 |
| The Resistance | 2009 | UK 1 |
| The 2nd Law | 2012 | UK 1 |

| The Wow! Signal | 2026 | — |
France already has three autumn dates, one in Paris and two in Montpellier, yet the January leg adds four more, two in Bordeaux and two in Lyon. The numbers explain it. Muse have played more continental shows in France than anywhere else, from Bercy in 2012 to stadium nights in Paris, Marseille, Bordeaux and Décines in 2019 and 2023.
Both cities have hosted the band at their stadiums: Matmut Atlantique in Bordeaux on 16 July 2019 and 29 June 2023, and Groupama Stadium in Décines-Charpieu on 15 June 2023. The 2027 shows bring them indoors, to arenas of 11,300 and 16,000 capacity. For fans in those cities that means a far closer view than at a stadium, and a shorter trip than Paris.
Portugal is the country with the longest documented Muse history on the mainland, going back to 23 August 2000. Lisbon alone has seen the band at the Aula Magna, Parque do Tejo, Campo Pequeno, the Pavilhão Atlântico, Parque da Bela Vista (several Rock in Rio Lisboa editions) and the riverside festival site at Algés.
Opening the 2027 leg in Lisbon, at the arena once called the Pavilhão Atlântico, closes a loop: the band played the same building on 29 November 2009 and twice in May 2016. It is also the only Portuguese date of The Wow! Signal tour so far.
Madrid has had Muse in almost every format: the Palacio de Deportes in 2009 and 2012, the Vicente Calderón stadium in 2010, the Barclaycard Center in 2016, the Metropolitano in 2019, an IFEMA festival date in 2022 and Iberdrola Music in 2025. The two January 2027 nights return to the same arena in central Madrid under its current name, Movistar Arena.
Valencia is new territory. The band have no documented headline show in the city, and the Roig Arena only opened on 6 September 2025. Because of high demand, the promoter added Sunday 24 January 2027 at the same arena and announced it as the last Spanish date and the close of the European tour.
On recent European dates, Muse have played between 19 and 22 songs at festivals and around 25 or 26 at their own stadium shows. The 2025 festival sets opened with "Unravelling" and kept the long-time closers: "Uprising" and "Knights of Cydonia", often after "Supermassive Black Hole", "Time Is Running Out" and "Plug In Baby". Songs from Will of the People, such as "Won't Stand Down", "Compliance" and "Kill or Be Killed", also stayed in.
The arena run is the first time the band can build a show around The Wow! Signal, so expect the new singles in the first half of the set. Muse's stage productions have used large screens, inflatables and a giant figure on the Will of the People stadium tour; the arena tour has not published production details, and set lists may change from night to night.
Shows in the south of Europe usually start later in the evening than in Germany or the Netherlands. Check the timings given by each venue before travelling, especially for the two Madrid nights.
For the January 2027 leg, an artist presale is scheduled for Tuesday 6 October 2026, with the general sale on Thursday 8 October 2026 through the official ticket outlet of each country and the arenas' own websites. The Lyon general sale time had not been announced at the time of writing; check the LDLC Arena site before the day. The autumn 2026 dates have been on sale for several weeks.
Presale access is given through the band's official channels. Any "Muse presale code" offered on social media or for sale is not genuine, and tickets bought outside official outlets or regulated resale schemes can be refused at the door, as most of these arenas use named or mobile tickets.
Prices are set by the promoter in each country and differ between cities and between seated and standing areas. If a date sells out, returned tickets often come back through the official exchange shortly before the show; the alert buttons below will tell you when they do.
