Sam Smith has not announced any concerts in continental Europe or Ireland for 2027. As of 6 October 2026 there is no tour, festival booking or one-off show on sale for 2027, even though their fifth studio album, Hazel Eyes, was released on 21 August 2026.
Their most recent touring project, To Be Free, was built as a series of short residencies in small venues rather than an arena tour. It began at Warsaw, a hall in Brooklyn, New York, in October 2025, went on to the Castro Theatre in San Francisco and to Guadalajara and Mexico City, and ended in England with two nights at the Albert Hall in Manchester and a run at the London Coliseum that finished on 19 September 2026. No date of that project was played in continental Europe or Ireland.
Sam Smith's last concerts on the continent were the festival shows of Gloria the Blackout in summer 2024, from Pinkpop in June to Lollapalooza Berlin in September. This page explains what is known about their plans and gives a full account of their concerts in continental Europe and Ireland since 2013.
There is no official information about Sam Smith concerts in Europe in 2027. The To Be Free shows, announced on 24 July 2025 alongside the single of the same name, ran to 55 performances between 8 October 2025 and 19 September 2026. All of them were in the United States, Mexico and England, and no extension to the continent has been announced.
The residency format was a deliberate change after years of arenas and festivals. Instead of moving city to city every night, Sam Smith stayed in a few venues for several nights each, most of them theatres. It gave fans a smaller, closer show, but it also meant far fewer cities, which is why no European capital was on the list.
Hazel Eyes was released on 21 August 2026, during the To Be Free run. In the past, Sam Smith has followed each album with a large tour that reached continental Europe: The Thrill of It All in spring 2018, Gloria in spring and summer 2023. Whether Hazel Eyes will get the same treatment, and when, has not been announced.
Until there is an official announcement, treat any list of 2027 Sam Smith dates in Europe, any ticket listing and any 'presale code' with suspicion. When real dates are confirmed, this page will be updated with cities, venues and sale details.
Sam Smith first appeared in continental Europe and Ireland in 2013 and 2014, as their voice on Disclosure's 'Latch' and Naughty Boy's 'La La La' was making them known. The setlist archive includes Stradbally in Ireland on 31 August 2013, a showcase at the Grand Theatre in Groningen on 15 January 2014, People's Place and the Grote Zaal in Amsterdam in March and May 2014, and Le Trabendo in Paris on 7 May 2014, a few weeks before In the Lonely Hour came out.
The first proper European headline tour followed in autumn 2014, as 'Stay with Me' became a worldwide hit. Sam Smith played the Kurhaus in Baden-Baden and the Stadthalle in Göttingen in September, then the Live Music Hall in Cologne, the Docks in Hamburg, Le Bataclan in Paris on 20 November, the Ronda in Utrecht, the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels on 29 November and the Astra in Berlin on 1 December 2014. A bigger round in March 2015 took them to Forest National in Brussels, the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, the Zenith in Munich, the Palladium in Cologne and the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt.
In autumn 2017, before The Thrill of It All was released, they played two intimate shows in Germany: silent green Kulturquartier in Berlin on 18 September and the Kulturkirche in Cologne on 14 November. The arena tour for the album, The Thrill of It All Tour, then came to Europe in spring 2018: two nights at the 3Arena in Dublin on 30 and 31 March, then Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, the AccorHotels Arena in Paris on 30 April, two nights at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Vienna, Zürich, the Mediolanum Forum near Milan, the Arena di Verona on 12 May, the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, the WiZink Center in Madrid and the Altice Arena in Lisbon on 18 May 2018. A show in Warsaw followed on 1 June.
Gloria the Tour reached Europe in April 2023. After the 3Arena in Dublin on 14 and 15 April, it played the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, the Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Oslo Spektrum, the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, the Accor Arena in Paris on 13 May, the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, the Unipol Arena near Bologna and the Pala Alpitour in Turin on 21 May 2023. Several late-May and early-June dates were cancelled, including Warsaw on 3 June, because of vocal problems, illness or logistics.
In July 2023 the tour moved to summer festivals: the Montreux Jazz Festival on 5 July, Mad Cool in Madrid on 7 July, NOS Alive near Lisbon on 8 July, the Arena of Nîmes on 10 July, Pori Jazz in Finland on 14 July and Positivus in Latvia on 15 July. A year later, Gloria the Blackout was a festival tour from start to finish, running from Pinkpop on 23 June 2024 to the Olympiastadion in Munich on 7 September and Lollapalooza Berlin on 8 September 2024, their last concert on the continent to date.
The table below lists 75 documented European concerts by Sam Smith between 2013 and 2024, with the most shows in Berlin (6), Amsterdam (6), Paris (5), Cologne (5), Dublin (4), Madrid (3). It is not exhaustive: it only includes documented shows.

Festivals are a big part of Sam Smith's European story. Early on they played Rock Werchter in Belgium on 4 July 2014, Haldern Pop in Germany in August 2014, the Lowlands site at Biddinghuizen in the Netherlands on 15 August 2014, Electric Picnic at Stradbally in Ireland in 2013 and 2015, the Main Square Festival in Arras on 5 July 2015 and Lollapalooza Berlin at the former Tempelhof airport on 13 September 2015.
The 2023 summer leg added the Montreux Jazz Festival, Mad Cool, NOS Alive and Pori Jazz. In 2024, Gloria the Blackout went much further: Pinkpop at Landgraaf on 23 June, Solidays at the Longchamp racecourse in Paris on 28 June, Open'er in Gdynia, the Main Square Festival in Arras on 6 July, Les Vieilles Charrues at Carhaix on 11 July, the Lucca Summer Festival on 20 July, Paléo in Nyon, Jazzopen in Stuttgart on 26 July, Sziget in Budapest, Pukkelpop near Hasselt on 17 August and Lollapalooza Berlin on 8 September.
No European festival has announced Sam Smith for 2027 as of 6 October 2026.
Samuel Frederick Smith was born in London on 19 May 1992 and grew up in Great Chishill in Cambridgeshire. They studied singing with jazz pianist Joanna Eden and sang in youth theatre and choirs before their voice on Disclosure's 'Latch' (2012) and Naughty Boy's 'La La La' (2013), a UK number one, made them known. They won both the Brit Critics' Choice Award and the BBC Sound of 2014 poll.
In the Lonely Hour (2014) went to number one in the UK and number two in the US, with 'Stay with Me', 'I'm Not the Only One', 'Money on My Mind' and 'Lay Me Down'. It won four Grammys, including Best New Artist and Record of the Year, and became the best-selling debut album of the 2010s in the UK. 'Writing's on the Wall', for the James Bond film Spectre, was the first Bond theme to reach number one in the UK and won a Golden Globe and an Academy Award.
The Thrill of It All (2017), led by 'Too Good at Goodbyes', topped the UK and US charts. 'Promises' with Calvin Harris and 'Dancing with a Stranger' with Normani followed, then Love Goes (2020), released during the pandemic and presented with a livestream from Abbey Road Studios. In 2017 Smith came out as non-binary, and in 2019 began using they/them pronouns.
'Unholy' with Kim Petras (2022) was their first US number one and won the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, making Smith the first openly non-binary artist to win a Grammy. Gloria (2023) was another UK number one. They sang at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in August 2024, and Hazel Eyes followed on 21 August 2026. Their awards include five Grammys, three Brits, a Golden Globe and an Oscar.

Gloria the Blackout was unlike any earlier Sam Smith tour in Europe. Instead of arenas, it was built almost entirely around festivals, from the Netherlands to Romania, Poland, Hungary and Portugal, between June and September 2024. That made it the widest European tour of their career in terms of countries, even though there was no arena date at all.
The set was compact, about 18 songs, opening with 'Stay With Me', 'I'm Not the Only One' and 'Like I Can' and closing with 'Latch', 'I Feel Love', 'Gloria' and 'Unholy'. It was built for big outdoor crowds, many of whom had not come only for Sam Smith.
The Netherlands has seen Sam Smith almost every step of the way: Groningen in January 2014, People's Place and the Grote Zaal in Amsterdam that spring, Lowlands in August 2014, the Ronda in Utrecht in November 2014 and the Heineken Music Hall in March 2015.
On the arena tours, Amsterdam got special treatment. The Thrill of It All Tour played two nights at the Ziggo Dome, on 2 and 5 May 2018, while most cities had one. Gloria returned to the Ziggo Dome on 9 May 2023, and Pinkpop in Landgraaf opened the 2024 festival summer.
Ireland has had two nights at the 3Arena on each of the last two arena tours: 30 and 31 March 2018 and 14 and 15 April 2023. Before that, Sam Smith played Electric Picnic at Stradbally in 2013 and 2015.
The To Be Free shows of 2025 and 2026 did not include Ireland, so the April 2023 nights remain their last Irish concerts.
Paris has followed Sam Smith's whole rise: Le Trabendo in May 2014, Le Bataclan on 20 November 2014, the AccorHotels Arena on 30 April 2018 and the same venue, by then called the Accor Arena, on 13 May 2023.
Their last Paris concert was outdoors: Solidays at the Longchamp racecourse on 28 June 2024. France as a whole has been generous to them, with the Arena of Nîmes in 2023 and Arras and Carhaix in 2024.
The Gloria arena show of 2023 ran to about 22 songs. In Dublin on 14 April 2023 Sam Smith opened with 'Stay With Me', 'I'm Not the Only One' and 'Like I Can', played 'Too Good at Goodbyes', 'How Do You Sleep?', 'Dancing With a Stranger', 'Lay Me Down', 'Gimme' and 'Promises', and ended with 'Latch', 'I Feel Love', 'Gloria', 'Human Nature' and 'Unholy'.
The 2018 arena show was longer and more piano-led. At the Arena di Verona on 12 May 2018 the set opened with 'Burning' and 'One Last Song', took in 'Writing's on the Wall', 'Latch', 'Money on My Mind', 'Scars', 'HIM' and 'Palace', and closed with 'Stay With Me' and 'Pray'.
Across all the full European set lists in the archive, the songs played most often are 'Stay With Me', 'Latch', 'Lay Me Down', 'I'm Not the Only One' and 'Too Good at Goodbyes'. Songs from Hazel Eyes have not yet been played at a concert in continental Europe or Ireland.
There are no Sam Smith tickets on sale for Europe in 2027, because no concerts have been announced. Any site already selling seats or offering a presale code is not official.
For past arena tours, tickets went on sale country by country through official outlets, usually after a fan presale. Festival appearances are sold as festival tickets through each festival's own site. If new dates are announced, use the venue's or festival's official site, and for resale only the official platforms they link to.
